Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to water supplies, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks overnight. A young boy was killed and three other people were hurt.

The assaults follow nights of air raids in the region, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

Authorities told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

He said energy workers and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
